I hope your February has been full of love and creative inspiration. This next project was completed together with the livingroom cornice featured in the last post.
In Client “J”‘s beautiful Los Altos home, there is a very unique and colorful dining room table. From the table’s wood inlay pattern, I was inspired to repeat the motif onto a flat cornice.
I drew up a couple different shapes for the motif, and taped the templates to the window to adjust the shapes accordingly. Then I used the final templates to cut board into the appropriate shapes.
I chose the material colors based upon the dining room table chairs and upholstered the board, which was then attached onto a straight cornice. We both loved the way this window treatment turned out as a reflection of the vibrant dining room table!
